Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between a training and a course?
Trainings are usually hosted live through Zoom with a limited number of participants. Trainings are shorter in duration than courses and cover specific topics. During trainings, I use strategies to keep participants as interactive and engaged as possible. Typically, trainings are no longer than 90 minutes and participants receive access to recordings for 30 days.
Courses are hosted on the Thinkific online learning platform and cover topics in more detail through several modules. Once you have registered with successful payment, you will have access to all course materials. In a course, you can go through the material at your own pace. Courses do not have a limited number of participants. Although the course materials contain recordings and worksheets, you will have access to my Virtual Office Hours, a live Q&A session through zoom.
I'm a student, how will these trainings and courses help me?
As a student, you are probably swamped with coursework, papers, and projects. These trainings and courses are no pressure and there are no grades. I structure these trainings and courses so you can build your academic and professional skills and have fun doing so. True enough, you learn a lot in school, but you won’t learn everything. Plus, after you graduate, you need a way to keep your skills current and fresh. My trainings and courses will give you what you need to not only succeed as a student but transition from student to professional. Also check out my other student services!
If I sign up for a training, do I automatically get access to future courses?
The short answer is no. By signing up for a training, you will not get automatic access to future courses. If you are interested in future trainings and courses, you will need to register for each one separately. However, I do occasionally offer special deals and discounts on trainings, courses, and consultations. Will recordings be available for the live trainings?
Yes! All live trainings will be hosted through Zoom and recorded. All registered participants will receive access to the recording 24-48 hours after the live trainings. Participants will have access to the recording for 30 days.
How do I sign up for a training or a course ?
For live trainings, you can register by clicking any “register now” button on this page. Once you click “register now”, you will be taken to my booking website on Acuity to complete your information and payment. You will receive all confirmations through email.
For courses, the Thinkific online learning platform will be used. Courses will not be open for registration until later in 2021. If you don’t want to miss out on my course offerings, be sure to subscribe to news and updates from Joyee Washington Consulting.
What payment methods are accepted ?
PayPal is the only payment method accepted at this time. You may use your credit or debit card to submit payment safely and securely through PayPal. More payment options will be available in the future.
I signed up for a training through Acuity, do I need to create an Acuity account?
I strongly recommend creating an Acuity account so all your personal information is stored safely and securely. This way if you need to register for a future training or if you would like to book a one-on-one consultation, you won’t have to re-enter all your information. Best of all, creating an Acuity account as a client is FREE!
How can I be notified when trainings and courses become available?
